In the framework of the implementation of the Regulations of the EAG Strategic plan for 2009-2011 ITMCFM organizes the realization of the research on the themes defined in the “Main directions of the scientific research for 2010-2011 in the framework of the EAG”.

The managing and most experienced officers of governmental and non-governmental organizations of EAG member states, performing as experts in the activities of the FATF, EAG, MONEYVAL, the Egmont group and other international bodies, representatives of scientific and educational institutions as well as representatives of the private sector are involved as executors of scientific research.

For the purpose to organize, conduct and provide practical direction of scientific and methodological elaborations on the basis of ITMCFM the Expert-Methodology Council is created, which include the leading specialists from the Federal service for financial monitoring as well as the experts from the private sector. The Council implements its activities according to the approved Regulations of the ITMCFM on the Expert-methodology Council.

At the same time the Regulations on the organization of scientific and methodology research, which define the order of interaction of the customers, organizers, executors and experts with the aim to implement effectively the tasks on organization and conduct of scientific research is approved in ITMCFM, as well as the algorithm of elaboration of the separate themes of the scientific research.
