The aim of the training was to share with the Japanese experts Russian practices in supervisory activity area, work of the risk assessment Centre, financial investigations, regulation of electronic payment systems and cryptocurrencies, international cooperation and interaction.
Within the ITMCFM training course at the initiative of the Rosfinmonitoring Supervisory Activities Department a new format of lectures-discussions with representatives of the Rosfinmonitoring Compliance Council (JSC "Raiffeisenbank", PSC "MegaFon", PSC "Sberbank", PSC "TransFin-M") was implemented.
5 officers of the FIU of Japan have been trained. They are specialists of the Section of AML/CFT measures design of the Department of planning and coordination, as well as representatives of the Embassy of Japan in Russia. Japanese experts have studied Russian experience of expert analysis and practical developments in the field of AML/CFT.
Moreover, the parties have exchanged information on the peculiarities of functioning of the national AML/CFT systems. The Japanese delegation submitted to Rosfinmonitoring the AML/CFT guidance for the private sector of Japan, Japan national risk assessment report, information on the supervision of virtual currency exchange service providers.
Russian and Japanese experts unanimously noted the benefits of the event for the national anti-laundering systems of both countries. All the trainees received certificates of the course completion.
